About the role

The Associate Director, People Strategy & Execution reports to the Group Chief People Officer and plays a central role in shaping how the People function operates and delivers. This role translates the People strategy into a focused roadmap, drives execution through leadership and programme owners, and manages budgets, governance, and reporting. It is a high-impact position that requires unblocking progress on complex challenges and ensuring strategic decisions lead to measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the People strategy and roadmap, partnering with the Group Chief People Officer to translate business priorities into clear outcomes.
• Drive execution of the People roadmap through People leaders and programme owners, maintaining oversight of progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Lead executive and Board reporting, producing clear, commercially focused insight and recommendations.
• Lead selected high-priority People initiatives, bringing structure, pace, and stakeholder alignment to complex work.
• Own People Team operations and governance, running effective forums, agendas, and decision-making processes.
• Own the People budget and Finance partnership, overseeing planning, forecasting, and investment choices.
• Build portfolio and programme capability across the People function, implementing standards and tools to improve delivery.
