About the role

Substrate Bio is a stealth startup building infrastructure for high-quality, traceable biological data generation. This role involves engineering, validating, and banking human cell lines to support functional genomics screens. You will work in a hands-on, lab-based capacity to establish standard protocols and ensure high-quality cell models for the team.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, validate, and bank human cell lines including iPSCs
• Generate CRISPR-edited lines such as knockouts, knock-ins, and inducible systems
• Isolate clones and perform QC via genotyping, sequencing, and karyotyping
• Differentiate iPSCs into neurons and other lineages for characterization
• Develop and document precise protocols for cell maintenance and automation
• Manage cell banks with rigorous record-keeping for full traceability
