Senior Manager - Quantum Development Tools

About the role

Quantinuum is seeking a Senior Manager to lead engineering teams focused on quantum development tools, including languages, compilers, and toolkits. This role involves balancing people management with the execution of technical roadmaps to transition research prototypes into production-grade enterprise software. The successful candidate will mentor developers and collaborate across global teams to deliver high-performance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers and developers.
• Partner with software directors and senior architects to execute technical milestones for compilers, runtimes, languages, optimization tools, emulators and debuggers.
• Stay technically engaged via design discussions, architectural reviews, and code problem-solving.
• Coordinate cross-discipline collaboration with hardware, theory, and product teams across global sites.
• Guide developer tooling from experimental research prototypes into robust, production-grade enterprise software.
• Travel occasionally to international sites.
