Senior AI Engineer

About the role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will own a new technical product area end-to-end and build the agentic systems behind it. You will design systems where AI agents can write and review code, debug failures, analyze data, and support day-to-day operations. You will set the technical direction, make critical decisions, and ensure the quality and reliability of systems in a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Own the system, infrastructure, and agents behind a new product area from first version to scaled operation
• Build agent-driven workflows where agents write code, review code, debug failures, analyze data, and support operational reliability
• Design the agent factory including workflows, skills, hooks, guardrails, review loops, and escalation paths
• Make pragmatic technical decisions that directly shape product quality, speed, and revenue impact
• Build robust backend systems around messy real-world inputs, changing requirements, and operational complexity
• Create the internal tooling and control surfaces needed to operate the system with confidence
• Work closely with the founders and the wider team to turn a strategic direction into a real product
• Push forward how software engineering works in practice when agents become part of the core development loop
