About the role
Transmutex is seeking a Senior Radiochemist to support the HI-BEAM project, which aims to develop industrial-scale production of Actinium-225 for targeted alpha therapies. The role involves translating laboratory radiochemistry methods into automated, reproducible, and commercially viable production processes. You will collaborate with international research labs and internal teams to design, optimize, and scale up radiochemical separation and purification processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize radiochemical separation and purification processes.
- Develop radiochemical process flowsheets including unit operations, material balances, and cycle times.
- Perform radiochemical and chemical analyses such as alpha and gamma spectrometry.
- Scale up and transfer laboratory processes to a robust and GMP-compliant production line.
- Define requirements for equipment, instrumentation, and facility interfaces.
- Support equipment selection, qualification, commissioning, and process validation.
- Develop operating procedures, batch records, and control strategies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and implement safety protocols in collaboration with QA and Safety teams.
