About the role
Astronomer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team and help redefine how companies run Apache Airflow at scale. This role involves designing, building, testing, and deploying production infrastructure for the Astro, Observe, and IDE products. The successful candidate will work on cloud-native systems and contribute to the company's Platform and Reliability practices.
Responsibilities
- Make high-quality, data-driven decisions on the design and delivery of the next generation of the production platform.
- Own and build processes for testing, building, and deploying code in a high-scale PaaS environment.
- Collaborate across the company to design production systems, set standards, and make technology choices.
- Deliver results in a predictable, safe, and reliable manner while maintaining existing systems.
- Participate in incident management and establish operational practices as the platform evolves.
- Create and maintain comprehensive internal documentation for systems and processes.
