Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Reliability Engineer serves as the site Subject Matter Expert for control systems, maintenance engineering, sensors, PLCs, and automation. This role involves working with facilities and maintenance teams to repair and maintain equipment, ensuring operational uptime and system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor, fault find, and repair systems to ensure high equipment availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on automation, robotics, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and act as an escalation point for technicians.
• Document all work within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Mentor maintenance personnel on automation, controls, and robotics skill sets.
• Lead root cause analysis for major downtime events and network-wide technical issues.
• Partner with engineering on the commissioning of new control systems.
• Audit vendor work and provide feedback on quality and SLA performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified or solid practical understanding in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
