About the role
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB standards. This role involves managing general and sub-ledger accounting, ensuring tax compliance, and acting as a primary contact for auditors and tax advisors. The position is designed as a senior role with the potential to transition into a leadership position within the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset, and bank accounting.
- Handle tax filings including VAT returns and statistical reports.
- Serve as the primary interface for auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
- Optimize and automate financial and accounting processes in collaboration with ERP and BI teams.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and transactions.
- Provide professional support and mentorship to junior accounting team members.
