Senior Software Engineer (L6)

About the role

Street Group is a fast-growing PropTech company focused on elevating UK estate agencies through world-class technology. As a Senior Software Engineer (L6), you will set technical direction across product areas, lead complex platform changes, and drive AI infrastructure initiatives. You will act as a co-owner of product outcomes, bridging the gap between technical trade-offs and commercial goals while mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction across a portion of the product, deciding which systems to build, integrate, or retire.
• Identify and frame complex technical problems, taking them through to a solution across teams.
• Lead technical decision-making at the product-area level, including shared services and platform architecture.
• Proactively address scaling bottlenecks, operational toil, and security exposure using data-driven insights.
• Drive the development of agents, shared plugins, and AI infrastructure, ensuring governance and safe-use standards.
• Lead complex platform changes, major framework upgrades, and reliability work to align multiple teams.
• Act as a co-owner of product outcomes by proposing technical solutions and explaining trade-offs in commercial terms.
• Mentor engineers and establish standards and tooling to lift the performance of the wider function.
