Technical Product Owner - AI Platform

About the role

The Technical Product Owner for the AI Platform will shape the technological foundation for scalable AI at idealo. This role involves developing the product strategy and roadmap for central AI services while ensuring they deliver a high-quality developer experience. You will work at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, cloud, and product development to drive scalable and reusable AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for the central AI platform in collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Drive the development of scalable, reusable services and APIs including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and agentic AI.
• Prioritize initiatives based on business value, user needs, feasibility, and cost.
• Define and track KPIs such as adoption, time-to-value, quality, availability, and cost.
• Ensure reliability, AI security, governance, and data protection in collaboration with Engineering and Security teams.
• Foster a Platform-as-a-Product, self-service mindset with a focus on developer experience and documentation.
