Software Test (QA) Automation Engineer

About the role

IndieKidz GmbH is seeking a QA Engineer to build and maintain automated testing for their AI-powered children's book creation platform. The role focuses on enabling rapid feature deployment through robust test automation and collaboration with the development team. You will work in a remote-first environment to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end UI test automation for the web app
• Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows
• Translate product requirements into automated checks, including edge cases
• Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors
• Add API level tests to support UI testing and improve overall reliability
• Run tests in CI pipelines, track failures, and maintain the test suite
• Use AI tools to speed up test creation, analysis, and maintenance
• Document testing processes, findings, and quality recommendations
