Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will own and scale the AWS infrastructure for a SaaS platform that simplifies EU VAT compliance. This role focuses on streamlining deployments, ensuring high availability and security, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve software delivery processes. The position involves managing infrastructure as code and optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar)
• Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.)
• Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices
• Manage networking, security groups, IAM roles, and secrets securely
• Drive cost optimization strategies in AWS
• Collaborate with developers to improve development-to-production workflows
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution
