About the role

As an Engineering Manager in the Platform organisation, you will lead a team focused on improving how engineers and AI agents build, test, and ship software. You will oversee either the Developer Portal or Developer Environments team, ensuring that platform capabilities are intuitive and efficient. This role involves shaping team vision, driving technical strategy, and fostering AI adoption to streamline development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building internal products for colleagues and AI agents.
• Shape team vision, scope, and quarterly objectives while ensuring delivery of outcomes.
• Create golden paths to simplify common developer journeys and reduce toil.
• Drive measurable improvements in developer experience, such as journey completion time and self-service rates.
• Manage team delivery by clearing obstacles, tracking milestones, and ensuring high engineering quality.
• Grow team members through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.
• Align stakeholders across Engineering by translating technical details into business needs.
