Senior Mobile Software Engineer (Android)

About the role

Olo is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of features for the new Olo app. You will work within a dedicated mobile team to drive development from concept to delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the architecture of both iOS and Android codebases. This role involves balancing new feature development with technical debt resolution to ensure a scalable and high-quality product.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in the team's domain and technology stack, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Proactively address technical debt by prioritising its resolution alongside feature development.
• Take ownership of complex features and projects, working independently and collaborating with team members.
• Lead code reviews, set quality standards, and offer in-depth feedback to improve code quality.
• Partner with Product and other stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure solutions are well-architected.
• Monitor and maintain services in production, diagnosing and resolving critical issues efficiently.
• Participate in the architecture and design of distributed systems, ensuring best practices for reliability and scalability.

Qualifications
