Principal Platform Engineer

About the role

CentralReach is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to define and advance cloud platform capabilities that enable secure, reliable, and scalable product delivery. You will partner across engineering teams to modernize legacy systems, strengthen reliability practices, and improve the overall developer experience. This role involves hands-on technical leadership in AWS, Kubernetes, and automation while mentoring engineers to raise technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision for secure, resilient, scalable cloud platform services that improve developer productivity and customer outcomes.
• Lead modernization of legacy infrastructure and help guide application developers from legacy software designs toward modern, service-based deployments.
• Establish platform reliability practices, including SLOs, observability, operational readiness, incident response, and continuous KPI improvement.
• Raise delivery standards through safer deployments, stronger security controls, robust data protection, and disciplined asset management.
• Improve developer experience by building effective tooling, feedback loops, and self-service capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and influence architecture, standards, and execution across teams through principal-level technical leadership.
