Software Engineer

About the role

Spire Global is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Satellite Developer Experience team to create and expand a software build, test, and deployment framework for their satellite constellation. The role involves building and maintaining tools and infrastructure that make satellite software development faster, safer, and more enjoyable for internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced testing frameworks for virtual and bare-metal hardware environments.
• Build and enhance an automated software update pipeline for satellites in orbit.
• Identify and eliminate friction points in the satellite software development lifecycle with user-friendly tools and workflows.
• Architect and implement the next-generation satellite software framework to support resilient and high-performance space systems.
• Provide emergency operational support, fix bugs and maintain existing code.
