Principal UX Designer

About the role

As a Principal UX Designer, you will serve as the specialist authority ensuring that AI projects are built with a user-centric approach. You will operate at the intersection of client engagements and the broader design practice, turning deep UX expertise into real-world impact for diverse businesses. Your role involves defining interaction patterns for agentic systems and establishing design governance to ensure high-quality, accessible, and trustworthy AI interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience strategy across demanding client AI engagements from discovery through handover-ready designs.
• Shape UX and CX strategy by framing problems and conducting evidence-based research with operators and engineers.
• Define interaction patterns for agentic systems including human-in-the-loop approval, latency communication, and error states.
• Set standards for designing complex, operationally critical systems with dense data and long-lived workflows.
• Drive the adoption of shared design systems and component libraries across project engagements.
• Establish DesignOps and design governance, including review rituals and quality bars, with a focus on accessibility standards.
• Evolve experience and design standards across the organization while mentoring team members to raise the craft bar.
