Founding Product Designer

About the role

Bite is seeking a Founding Product Designer to lead the design function for our AI-driven platform for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. You will work directly with the founders and engineering team to transform our beta into a high-quality user experience, owning the entire design process from research to UI/UX. This role is ideal for an autonomous builder who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about solving complex, data-heavy problems.

Responsibilities

• Set the design direction and raise the overall bar for craft and quality.
• Establish and scale design foundations, including the design system and UI patterns.
• Partner with customers to shape product vision, design strategy, and the experience roadmap.
• Collaborate with the head of product, founders, and engineering team to define problems and ship product improvements.
• Lead comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability studies.
• Translate insights and data into user journeys, wireframes, and end-to-end design solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and present design decisions to influence strategic discussions.
