Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer will work within a local Enterprise Sales Pod to build and deploy production-scale solutions for enterprise customers. You will own the technical lifecycle from discovery and architecture to POC and production go-live, focusing on voice, messaging, AI, and wireless integrations. This role requires direct collaboration with customers to solve complex integration challenges and shape product roadmaps based on field insights.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows and integration challenges
• Build and deploy custom implementations including AI Voice Assistants and Telnyx APIs
• Run and manage open-weight LLMs and model gateways in customer environments
• Instrument and govern LLM usage through gateways for cost tracking, observability, and guardrails
• Design model routing strategies for real-time voice workloads balancing latency and cost
• Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live
• Create technical documentation and runbooks for solution handoff
