About the role
Clera is an early-stage, venture-backed AI infrastructure company building production-ready Kubernetes-based systems for GPU-intensive workloads. We are looking for a Java Developer to join our small, high-impact engineering team to help companies go from bare metal to fully operational AI clusters. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and infrastructure tooling that supports our distributed systems platform.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into robust, scalable Java-based solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and infrastructure tooling that supports our distributed systems platform.
- Collaborate closely with product and infrastructure engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
- Contribute to the reliability and performance of systems handling AI inference pipelines, distributed training, storage orchestration, and GPU scheduling workloads.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
