Automation Engineer

About the role

Wandelbots is building NOVA, a platform designed to make industrial robotics more flexible and software-driven. As an Automation Engineer, you will work at the intersection of software development and industrial automation, commissioning systems and implementing customer-specific solutions. You will bridge the gap between real-world project requirements and product development by providing insights to our engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure, parameterize, and commission industrial robots from various manufacturers on-site and in-house
• Integrate robots, PLCs, and peripheral devices into automation environments
• Perform electrical commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Translate customer robotics requirements into software solutions using the NOVA platform
• Develop project-specific applications and workflows using Python
• Provide structured feedback from customer projects to influence product development and best practices
