Propulsion Data & Modeling Engineer

About the role

The Exploration Company is seeking a Propulsion Functional Systems Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and analysis of the Nyx Earth Propulsion System. You will bridge the gap between design and hardware testing by creating analysis and prediction tools to support propulsion subsystem verification. This role involves working closely with design and testing teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with pressure and feed system engineers to define test setup configurations and conduct fluid modelling.
• Create test plans for propulsion subsystems, including data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
• Design and develop propulsion analysis and post-processing tools to support testing and design maturation.
• Collaborate with engineers to anchor fluidic models and assess them against test data.
• Provide on-site support during test campaigns, performing real-time analysis and resolving anomalies.
• Conduct pre-test and post-test reviews and prepare comprehensive test reports.
• Update and correlate fluidic models based on test results to provide actionable performance insights.
