About the role
The Exploration Company is seeking a Propulsion Functional Systems Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, analysis, and refinement of functional architecture for Nyx Earth Propulsion System Development Models. The role involves bridging the gap between design and hardware testing by working closely with design and testing teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of propulsion subsystems. You will support the development of analysis and prediction tools to derisk and verify flight propulsion systems through various testing phases.
Responsibilities
- Work with pressure and feed system engineers to define test setup configurations and conduct fluid modelling.
- Create test plans from a modeling perspective, including data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
- Design and develop propulsion analysis and post-processing tools to support testing and design maturation.
- Provide on-site support during propulsion test campaigns, including real-time analysis and anomaly resolution.
- Conduct pre-test and post-test reviews and elaborate test reports.
- Update and correlate fluidic models based on test results to provide actionable insights.
