Compliance Analyst / Senior Compliance Analyst (Special Investigations)

About the role

The Compliance Analyst will support the Special Investigations team by analyzing blockchain data to identify potential illicit activities, money laundering, and terrorist financing. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, investigative skills, and deep knowledge of crypto markets and blockchain technology to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth investigations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate financial crime risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigations of complex AML cases and blockchain transactions to identify suspicious or illicit activities.
• Analyze data to identify process gaps and recommend mitigating activities for risk.
• Evaluate AML transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting requirements across applicable jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and government agencies to share intelligence.
• Work with law enforcement, regulators, and legal teams to provide evidence for criminal investigations.
• Stay updated on cryptocurrency industry trends and regulatory changes to assess impact on transaction monitoring.
• Support team training and knowledge sharing to foster professional growth.
