Staff Data Engineer

About the role

Jupus is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to take technical ownership of their data platform, including pipelines, the warehouse, and metric definitions. This senior individual contributor role involves modernizing existing infrastructure and ensuring data reliability for leadership. You will work directly with cross-functional teams to turn business questions into durable, defensible metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform end to end including ingestion, the raw layer, the ClickHouse warehouse, and the dbt project.
• Ensure data reliability and correctness to provide a trustworthy historical record of business trends.
• Define and own key company metrics, including customer health scores, from definition to implementation.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and leadership to translate business needs into actionable data models.
• Manage warehouse architecture, query costs, and data delivery surfaces to maintain efficiency during rapid growth.
• Establish standards for data documentation and conventions to support the scaling of the data function.
