Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer supports the growth and industrialization of advanced laser technology projects at Menhir Photonics. This role balances technical project and program management with hands-on R&D and laser engineering. The successful candidate will structure complex development activities and contribute deep expertise in laser physics and optics to drive technical progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan, structure, coordinate, and execute strategic technical projects and programs including internal development and customer projects.
• Define work packages, milestones, deliverables, and reporting mechanisms to translate objectives into actionable engineering activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work across R&D, mechanical and electronics engineering, product development, and manufacturing.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation plans to maintain momentum.
• Coordinate technical discussions and alignment with customers, industrial partners, and research institutions.
• Contribute directly to advanced laser systems, ultrafast laser technology, and optical system design.
• Conduct experiments, analyze complex technical problems, and implement engineering improvements to support product industrialization.

Qualifications
