About the role
This role involves building and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency backend services to detect and prevent fraud across financial products. You will design real-time enforcement mechanisms for payout rails, merchant cash advances, and banking products. As a founding member of this team in London, you will establish technical patterns and infrastructure for protecting financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency backend services in Go for real-time financial event scoring.
- Design end-to-end fraud detection and automated enforcement for financial products.
- Extend a shared fraud decisioning platform to support multiple brands.
- Partner with risk analysts, data scientists, and product managers to translate fraud patterns into detection rules.
- Collaborate across team boundaries with account security and payments teams.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and establish fraud infrastructure baselines.
- Write well-tested, observable code and participate in on-call rotations.
