Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will own and scale the AWS infrastructure for a SaaS platform that simplifies EU VAT compliance. This role involves streamlining deployments, ensuring high availability and security, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize software delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar)
• Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.)
• Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices
• Manage networking, security groups, IAM roles, and secrets securely
• Drive cost optimization strategies in AWS
• Collaborate with developers to improve development-to-production workflows
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution
