About the role
SE3 Labs is seeking a Senior Embedded Development Engineer to own the full-stack electrical design of UAV compute and avionic systems. You will lead the architecture, component selection, and development of electronic backbones for autonomous platforms, working closely with mechanical, software, and AI teams. This role involves taking designs from initial schematics through to flight testing in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop schematics for compute, communication, and power supply systems across flight platforms
- Build, rework, and test hardware with speed and precision in simulation and flight
- Analyze designs via simulation and real-world testing, including EMI/EMC and thermal performance
- Maintain clear records of requirements, tradeoffs, test results, and design rationale
- Support hardware-in-the-loop and environmental validation workflows to ensure reliable designs
