About the role
The Head of Accounting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of accounting records and financial reporting across the PUR Group. The role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, coordinates monthly and annual closings, manages statutory and tax compliance, and serves as the primary accounting counterpart for regional finance managers. You will lead a team of two accounting professionals and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for Group entities.
- Act as the primary accounting liaison with Regional Accounting and Finance Managers in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
- Coordinate preparation of annual statutory financial statements and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial information for management and shareholders.
- Maintain robust accounting controls and identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting activities.
- Monitor cash accounting and treasury-related transactions.
- Lead, coach, and develop two accounting team members.
