About the role
The Senior Product Manager for Cards will own the Originations product and its performance, driving profitable new-account growth, conversion, and customer experience from the first interaction through to onboarding. This role involves setting the product roadmap, partnering with Credit and Fraud teams to evolve decisioning capabilities, and leading a squad of engineers to deliver scalable product solutions. You will be responsible for balancing commercial outcomes, risk, and customer experience while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Set the direction and roadmap for Credit Cards Originations from initial customer interaction through application and onboarding.
- Use customer, commercial, and risk signals to identify product opportunities to improve profitable new-account growth.
- Partner with Credit and Fraud teams to build and evolve capabilities behind eligibility, decisioning, pricing, and fraud prevention.
- Lead the product direction for a squad of engineers and collaborate with design, analytics, and operations colleagues.
- Improve conversion by simplifying journeys, reducing referrals, and testing web and in-app changes.
- Shape partnerships and data opportunities, including open-banking and third-party propositions.
- Develop the team's ways of working, including the practical use of AI and automation to improve productivity.
