About the role

The German Design Council is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Awards division, which includes the German Design Award, German Brand Award, German Innovation Award, and ICONIC AWARDS. The role involves full responsibility for the division's P&L, strategic development, business growth, and team leadership. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and serve as a member of the management team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall business unit including revenue, results, budget, and resources.
• Develop the strategic and economic direction of the award portfolio in collaboration with the CEO.
• Oversee sales, business development, and key account management.
• Evolve award portfolios, business models, and pricing strategies.
• Ensure the quality, credibility, and international reputation of the awards.
• Lead and develop a team of approximately 13 employees.
• Coordinate market and sales development with international teams in Shanghai and Singapore.
