Linguist - Somali - UI Technical / Marketing

About the role

LILT is seeking skilled Somali-language professionals to join their talent network for user interface, marketing localization, and retail content projects. Partners will focus on software localization and brand storytelling to ensure content is clear, consistent, and culturally impactful for native Somali users.

Responsibilities

• Adapt complex software interfaces and support documentation with accuracy and terminological rigor.
• Transform global campaigns and brand voices to maintain creative spirit while maximizing local relevance.
• Localize product and UI listings applying regional naming logic and formatting standards.
• Uphold quality benchmarks to provide engaging, audience-centric content aligned with brand identity.
• Coordinate with production and quality leads to execute projects on schedule and within client specifications.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Somali
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies
