About the role
The Global Equity Tax Specialist will act as the primary lead for global equity tax matters, providing technical advice and improving processes, controls, and data management. This role sits at the intersection of Tax, Equity, Finance, Payroll, and People teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency across jurisdictions. You will manage external advisers, remediate compliance gaps, and support the design of scalable tax operating models.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical advice on the employment tax treatment of equity arrangements across their lifecycle.
- Assess tax treatment of equity activity including sourcing, apportionment, withholding, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain the global equity tax compliance calendar and coordinate returns and notifications.
- Identify and remediate historic or live compliance issues and support tax authority enquiries.
- Build and improve the global equity tax operating model, including process documentation and control requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure equity tax considerations are embedded into business decisions.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisers and develop employee-facing equity tax guides.
