Pendo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team focused on building AI-powered features that transform raw product usage data into actionable insights. You will work full-stack with a frontend focus to shape and ship intelligent product experiences from discovery through delivery. This role requires strong product judgment, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a commitment to leveraging AI tools to enhance development workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship features that use AI to turn product usage data into actionable suggestions for customers.
  • Own delivery across the frontend and backend, with a focus on TypeScript, Vue.js, and component architecture.
  • Validate problems, shape scope, and test direction by engaging with customers and using feedback.
  • Define success metrics for features and use usage data to guide iteration and measure customer impact.
  • Apply engineering judgment and review rigor to AI-generated code using tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
  • Ensure AI-backed features are reliable by addressing latency, hallucinations, and user trust.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to make pragmatic tradeoffs.
