Lead Software Engineer

About the role

The Lead Software Engineer will take technical ownership of the Configuration Experience team, responsible for building and managing insurance products. This role involves a mix of hands-on technical development, such as writing RFCs and building PoCs, alongside leadership responsibilities like mentoring colleagues and collaborating with product managers. The successful candidate will drive technical strategy while ensuring agile delivery and team growth.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the Configuration Experience team and set the delivery direction.
• Research technical solutions, write RFCs, build PoCs, and ship code.
• Act as a sparring partner for product managers and stakeholders on business and technical decisions.
• Plan projects realistically, follow agile principles, and meet deadlines.
• Lead and mentor team members by providing feedback and facilitating meetings.
• Identify and resolve obstacles while maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders.
