Builder, Instructure Foundry

About the role

Foundry is a standalone division inside Instructure focused on generating new revenue through AI-built products. As a Builder in a two-person pod, you will partner with a non-technical Founder to own the architectural integrity, security, and scalability of products. You will be responsible for directing and verifying AI-generated code to ensure it is ready for pilot and scalable for general availability.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural integrity of the product and stand behind what ships.
• Take responsibility for code quality, security, and scalability across agentically generated code.
• Build hands-on in Git with AI development tooling, moving at pilot pace early and hardening the product.
• Direct and verify AI-generated code and catch issues before shipping.
• Decide what is safe to ship and own that judgment.
• Write context back to the shared system to ensure alignment with the Founder and operating team.
• Partner closely with a non-technical Founder to translate product intent into system capabilities.
