Elliptic is seeking a Data Science Lead to manage and grow a team focused on solving complex problems in digital asset intelligence and compliance. This player-coach role involves setting team strategy, hiring, and maintaining hands-on technical involvement in data science and machine learning projects. The successful candidate will own model governance, drive research initiatives, and collaborate across functions to deliver platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the data science team, including hiring and performance management.
• Define team objectives and build development paths aligned with the company strategy.
• Own model governance, including inventory management, validation, and monitoring for drift.
• Frame research questions, conduct experiments, and provide technical recommendations to leadership.
• Maintain hands-on technical involvement by writing code and reviewing team output.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data science work translates into platform capabilities.
