Analytical Chemistry Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

About the role

This freelance opportunity allows you to apply your scientific expertise to train and evaluate advanced AI models designed to support scientific discovery, education, and laboratory research. You will assess AI-generated responses to complex analytical chemistry questions, identify inaccuracies, and strengthen scientific reasoning across a wide range of applications. Your work will help improve the accuracy, reliability, and practical relevance of AI-generated scientific knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated scientific content by reviewing responses for factual accuracy, logical consistency, and scientific rigor.
• Develop and evaluate scenarios involving spectroscopy, chromatography, electrochemical analysis, and analytical method development.
• Challenge AI models on mass spectrometry, HPLC, GC, NMR interpretation, trace analysis, and titrimetric methods.
• Identify and document model weaknesses, including reproducible errors and reasoning gaps.
• Provide detailed scientific feedback and recommend improvements to prompts and evaluation criteria.
• Support scientific quality assurance by applying principles of method validation and QA/QC to AI-generated outputs.
• Communicate scientific reasoning clearly to help improve model transparency and reliability.

Qualifications
