About the role

The City of Frankfurt am Main is seeking an AI Architect to join their new AI competence team within the Office for Information and Communication Technology. The role involves designing AI/ML platforms, establishing standards for AI deployment, and leading interdisciplinary teams to drive digital transformation across municipal services. You will play a key role in shaping the city's IT strategy with a focus on artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design AI/ML platforms considering governance, security, scalability, and interoperability.
• Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for AI deployment, including data models, APIs, and security requirements.
• Participate in AI projects from consulting and piloting to production and operational support.
• Contribute to the overall municipal IT strategy with a focus on AI.
• Create presentations and decision-making documents for committees and stakeholders.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams.
