About the role
KoboToolbox is seeking a Frontend Web Application Developer to join our team and contribute to a platform used by over 32,000 organizations for data collection and analysis. You will work on a large, long-lived codebase, collaborating with a global team to build robust, scalable web applications. This role requires a commitment of at least one year and involves working during US Eastern business hours.
Responsibilities
- Searching and reading an extensive, long-lived code base to understand existing behavior and conventions.
- Suggesting improvements aligned with contemporary best practices.
- Writing robust, concise, and reusable code with accompanying tests and documentation.
- Reviewing other developers' code and providing constructive feedback.
- Using AI-assisted development tools effectively while maintaining responsibility for code quality.
- Investigating bug reports and creating well-scoped fixes.
- Scoping, prioritizing, and organizing work into manageable tasks.
- Attending regular video-conference check-ins and contributing to design and architecture discussions.
