Finance Data Engineer

About the role

Voodoo is seeking a Finance Data Engineer to lead the technical transformation of its finance operations. You will build data foundations, pipelines, and internal tools to replace spreadsheet-heavy workflows with a modern, automated platform. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with finance stakeholders and the central data team to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the roadmap for Finance data, automation, and internal tooling
• Build and scale the Finance data platform by prioritizing high-value use cases
• Migrate critical workflows from spreadsheets and legacy tools to code-based solutions
• Create reliable data models and pipelines for reporting, analysis, and forecasting
• Establish standards for data quality, security, and documentation
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury to translate needs into technical solutions
• Collaborate with Data leadership to align on architecture and best practices
• Build dashboards and internal applications for independent data exploration
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities
• Support Finance teams in adopting new data and AI tools
