Senior AI Engineer / Technical Consultant

About the role

Artefact is seeking a Senior AI Engineer and Technical Consultant to lead the design and delivery of impactful AI and data solutions. You will combine hands-on engineering with client advisory, guiding multi-disciplinary teams from initial opportunity framing through to production deployment. This role requires a builder's mindset and a proven track record of shipping production-grade AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture and delivery by defining end-to-end architectures and driving projects from PoC to production.
• Lead complex PoCs and pilots, including LLMs, GenAI, RAG, and fine-tuning.
• Perform advanced programming and modeling using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and HuggingFace.
• Design and operate cloud-based solutions on Azure, GCP, or AWS with a focus on MLOps and LLMOps.
• Provide client advisory and stakeholder management to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Enforce best practices regarding quality, security, data privacy, and model governance.
• Mentor team members and perform code and design reviews.
• Support pre-sales activities including proposals, estimates, and statements of work.
