About the role
The Regional General Manager provides strategic leadership and direction to ensure safe operations and operational excellence across the designated region. This role involves leading a team of Regional Managers, managing relationships with contracted service partners, and ensuring consistent execution of WestJet's operational and guest service standards.
Responsibilities
- Foster a Safety Above All culture by ensuring service partners achieve safety targets and monitoring performance trends.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Managers to deliver operational performance and guest satisfaction.
- Provide strategic oversight of airport operations to ensure consistent execution of standards and priorities.
- Deliver regional operational performance by achieving objectives and driving continuous improvement through station action plans.
- Provide governance through audits, operational reviews, and performance assessments to ensure adherence to standards.
- Analyze operational performance and safety data to identify trends, risks, and inform decision-making.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for Regional Managers regarding complex operational, guest, and safety issues.
- Build and maintain executive relationships with airport authorities, service partners, and government agencies.
