About the role

The Senior Counsel, Privacy & AI Compliance (EU) will serve as a key legal advisor on European privacy, data protection, and artificial intelligence requirements. This role involves operationalizing evolving legal requirements and partnering with cross-functional teams to scale practical, risk-based compliance frameworks for cloud infrastructure and products.

Responsibilities

• Advise on EU and UK privacy, data protection, and AI laws including GDPR, ePrivacy, and the EU AI Act.
• Translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for product, engineering, security, and operational teams.
• Lead privacy and AI assessments for new products and business initiatives including DPIAs and transfer impact assessments.
• Partner with engineering to embed privacy by design, data minimization, and responsible AI into product architecture.
• Advise on international data transfers, data localization, and cross-border access mechanisms.
• Support AI compliance framework implementation including risk management, transparency, and recordkeeping.
• Provide regional guidance on data subject rights, privacy notices, and consent requirements.
• Support cybersecurity and privacy incident response and manage engagement with European data protection authorities.
