About the role

Deliveroo is seeking a Software Engineer to join our London team to build and maintain high-performance systems for our hyper-local marketplace. You will contribute to technical execution and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the health and operational readiness of our production systems. This role involves working on complex logistical challenges to provide a seamless experience for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale backend services for our real-time marketplace using languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python.
• Improve code structure and architecture by participating in deep technical discussions and reviewing code across your team’s remit.
• Enhance system reliability by focusing on visibility, monitoring, and the overall health of production systems.
• Collaborate across teams to identify integration opportunities and influence the technical roadmap within your domain.
• Take an active role in the hiring process, conducting engineering interviews and supporting the growth of your peers.
