About the role
As a Linux System Administrator, you will play a key role in shaping the company's IT landscape by focusing on Open Source solutions and infrastructure development. You will work closely with management to drive projects such as Open Source migrations, cybersecurity enhancements, and the expansion of an internal AI server. This role offers significant creative freedom and the opportunity to move beyond standard ticket-based support into strategic technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Linux system landscape and associated network and IT infrastructure.
- Drive the migration of standard software to Open Source alternatives.
- Implement and maintain virtualization and container technologies such as Proxmox, Docker, and vSphere.
- Automate processes using tools like Python and Ansible.
- Enhance cybersecurity and resilience in compliance with standards like NIS 2, GDPR, CRA, and TISAX.
- Maintain and expand the internal Linux-based AI server infrastructure.
- Provide high-level technical support for internal users.
