Software Backend Engineer

About the role

Alma is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and develop the APIs and backend components that power payment infrastructure for merchants and consumers across Europe. You will collaborate with product and tech leaders to evolve technical architecture while ensuring the platform remains resilient, secure, and performant at scale. This role involves working within a cross-functional team to build robust fintech solutions in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
