About the role

The Shift Lead is a pivotal management role responsible for maintaining operational excellence within the German Fleet Operations team. You will supervise Vehicle Safety Operators, manage daily shift operations, and ensure all on-road testing activities adhere to safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating training, managing incident responses, and driving continuous improvement across the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Vehicle Safety Operators, providing guidance and direction to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
  • Oversee daily shift operations, including managing schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Line manage a group of operators, conducting regular documented face-to-face meetings to foster performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations, enforcing safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor on-road testing quality, addressing discrepancies and escalating issues to the Quality Assurance team.
  • Serve as the initial Operations Officer for on-road incidents, following the Major Incident Management Plan.
  • Prepare and submit shift reports, including performance metrics and incident documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development events and identify operational challenges to implement effective solutions.

Qualifications
