Electrical Design Engineer & Machine Safety Specialist

About the role

One Mobility is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer & Machine Safety Specialist to join their site in Masevaux, France. The role involves designing electrical schematics, defining architectures, and ensuring machine safety compliance within an international automotive environment. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high-quality, compliant mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and update electrical schematics using SEE Electrical and associated technical documentation.
• Define electrical architectures, prepare bills of materials, and draft technical specifications for suppliers.
• Participate in the selection and standardization of electrical components, automation systems, and safety equipment.
• Monitor electrical installations, verify wiring compliance, and support assembly, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Validate equipment supplied by external vendors through technical reviews, FAT/SAT procedures, and compliance checks.
• Perform risk assessments and define machine safety architectures in accordance with applicable standards.
• Conduct Performance Level calculations using SISTEMA and verify the compliance of safety functions.
• Contribute to CE marking activities and ensure the regulatory compliance of equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Proven experience in the electrical design of special-purpose machines or industrial equipment
